I receive EXP after finishing missions, shooting enemies and other actions. I also can view how much I have in the Equipment menu / Player. But what is the actual use of it at the moment? Is there any kind of level concept? Or in the future?

Hello Rezirox, At the moment, the experience is only used to unlock some more difficult missions. There is a plan for the future to have experience requirements to be able to travel to certain parts of the galaxy, to ensure the player has some kind of skills gained to be able to survive there. Another plan involving the experience is to use it as a currency to obtain pilot skills in the future, which would involve specific manoeuvres otherwise impossible to perform (e.g. quick 180° turn at the spot, afterburner to raise the ship speed for limited time, moving the player ship to the left / right while still aiming the same direction to avoid enemy fire, etc.).
